Ajrakh printing is a traditional Indian hand-block printing technique using natural dyes and wooden blocks to create intricate geometric patterns on fabric. It's known for its vibrant colors and layered effects, often featuring symmetrical designs and meaningful motifs like trefoils (representing sun gods, water, and earth). The process is time-consuming and involves multiple stages of printing, washing, and dyeing with natural substances like indigo, madder, and iron scrap
- Some products and colours tend to look slightly brighter in photos as the camera lens always highlights certain colours more
- Do not wash alongside any other products as the product will bleed colour in the initial washes due to the special nature of the dyes.
- Slight irregularities in motifs, texture, and colour are a part and parcel of handcrafted products and lend character to it.
